Zoe-perry

Perry is the daughter of actor Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. In the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as shown in flashback) her mother played Jackie Harris in two of Perry's initial TV roles. The actress did not go on to consider a career in acting until after she had reached the age of adulthood due to her parents being concerned about the adverse effects that stress could have. Perry shy and timid to perform in the high school, started to act in theater classes at Northwestern University because she wanted to make new acquaintances. Perry, after graduating from Boston University moved in New York in search of television roles. Perry was able to land small roles on TV shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. But, her home-sickness brought her back to California for theater roles. The Other Place was performed by her and her mom on Broadway in 2013 She appeared in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie as well as Kevin McKidd. This was staged at West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry was in nine episodes of the ABC drama The Family in 2016. In 2017, Perry had an appearance on ABC's political thriller Scandal with her father. The character she played was a younger Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off series from CBS's The Big Bang Theory was an additional portrayal that was younger of her mother. The role was given to her through audition, despite the fact that she was a cousin to the role.
