born Kellie Dawn Pickler on June 28 1986 Pickler experienced a turbulent childhood. She was abandoned by her mother when she was only two to escape from the abuse of her partner. Then, in 1995, she re-entered into the world of Pickler and was granted the custody rights. This did not go well. Pickler, then 12, was returned to her parents by court. They took care of her until she turned an adult. Pickler was unable to parent her children when they were absent. She confessed that, in absence of her parents Pickler had no time to take classes. She instead began in the process of learning to take care of her family members at a younger age. Pickler was on her high school's and middle school's cheerleading team. North Stanly High School graduated her in 2004. Pickler tried out her luck in the world of beauty contests. The title she held was as Miss Stanly county.
